Megan Milot is a Deaf community member who attended Jericho Hill School from 1989 to 1993 and later Burnaby South Secondary’s Deaf program from 1999 to 2001. After some years away from active community involvement, she has recently reconnected and is now serving as Interim President of the Greater Vancouver Association of the Deaf (GVAD).

As a small business owner, Megan brings practical skills in organization, planning, and leadership that help strengthen GVAD’s operations. She is committed to supporting GVAD in offering programs, workshops, and events that bring people together, increase access to resources, and encourage collaboration with other Deaf organizations. Megan believes in honoring GVAD’s long history while also helping guide it into the future.

She is passionate about building stronger connections within the Deaf community, encouraging participation from all generations, and ensuring GVAD continues to be a welcoming and supportive space for members. Outside of GVAD, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her animals, gardening, and exploring creative projects that bring balance and joy into her everyday life.
